Our name, “Oenops”, is inspired by the writings of the ancient Greek poet Homer, where the composition of the colours of the sunset is paralleled with the red colour of wine, hence the verdict kokkinopos.

It is located in a beautiful alley of Argostoli’s main pedestrian street, very close to the municipal theatre and the picturesque church of Aghios Spyridonos.

It has access from the central avenue George Vergoti and from the cobblestone street of the town when you meet Vangelatos Street (until recently Ithaca Street).

The minimal interior and exterior design, as well as the picturesqueness offered by the alleys surrounding the building in combination with the lovely garden of the courthouse that beautifies the neighborhood, make Oenops wine restaurant cellar the ideal choice for a dinner, a wine tasting or a combination of both, winter and summer.

In our wine list, you will find more than 120 labels from the Greek and foreign vineyards. Separate sections for sparkling, white, rosé, red and dessert wines enable our visitors to make a quick and easy choice. The many choices by the glass challenge you to try as many as possible.

The wineries of Kefalonia hold a special place, highlighting the local PDO white variety of Robola and the PGI red variety of Mavrodaphne.

The Greek vineyard, the indigenous varieties and the unique terroir of Greece are presented in our wine list through a selection of labels from small and large wineries of the country.

Natural and orange wines have a special place in the wine list.

For international variety lovers, labels from all over the world are available to satisfy you.
